Poverty Rates - by electoral divisions

The Australian Parliamentary Library has released an analysis of poverty rates across Australia. Based on a measure of relative poverty (for details, see the research paper), 11.7 per cent of all Australians (or more than one in nine Australians) were living in poverty in 2006. Poverty rates by electoral divisions, 2006 by Tony Kryger would be a useful resource for Year 11 students looking at people who are socioeconomically disadvantaged.

The Legal Studies Research Guide area on people who are socioeconomically disadvantaged is also useful for providing links to useful resources and websites.
