Welcome to our first post for HSC Legal Studies: News Watch. We will be scanning what's been in the news to identify media reports, magazine articles, and other key resources that will be useful for Legal Studies students and teachers.

What to do to make the most of this blog:

Subscribe to the RSS Newsfeed
Register with the State Library as a member, so you can access full text newspaper and magazine articles from home
Make use of our Legal Studies Research Guide - a syllabus based website that identifies useful resources - many of which are available at your local public library, while others are available in full text on the web.

We welcome your feedback and your questions and will attempt to respond to you as soon as we can.

Sarah Condie, Law Librarian

Sarah is experienced at assisting Legal Studies students and teachers locate information that is relevant to HSC Legal Studies. She has spoken for the last five years at the Legal Studies Teacher's Association Conference to teachers, liaised with the Board of Studies in developing the new Legal Studies syllabus and is co-author of the LIAC Crime Library.

Cathy Hammer, Editor

Cathy has worked for many years in both legal and educational publishing. She has been Editor of the series Hot Topics: legal issues in plain language since July 2000.
