Shakespeare & Cervantes revealed 396 years after their deaths
Marking the death of two literary giants, Shakespeare and Cervantes on 23 April, the State Library is staging a 'fan day' to celebrate their extraordinary legacy and retell the incredible story of how 18 of Shakespeare's original plays were nearly lost forever!
Maggie Patton is great media talent and available for interviews. Maggie can retell the amazing story of how 18 of Shakespeare's plays were nearly erased from history, the literary legacy left by these writers and reveal how the State Library of NSW came to possess some of the rarest works by both authors including the only known copy of Shakespeare's First Folio in Australia.
See attached media release for the entire story.
